  characters are all portrayed perfectly and the dialogue is so witty and charming 😭 reminded me that i need to actually read the book

  theatre note: rewatched this at home with my mom from a jane austen dvd set that we got her 10+ yrs ago. she still uses it every yr to rewatch the movies! her only complaint about this one is that the mom's rants are too annoying sometimes

  so clever! the details in this movie rlly won me over

  audience note:
  watched at metrograph (in chinatown!) and there was a long ass line for the men's bathroom and like no line for women's. also some ppl vlogging (?) outside after the movie with old camcorders. small theater so you could hear everyone laugh at lines together during the movie which was cute
