Hiruko the Goblin 1991
Batshit adaptation of a horror manga by filmmaker Tsukamoto Shinya. Absolutely nails the tone of horror manga especially during the scenes in the school, probably has more in common with the tone of Hausu than Tetsuo but as it’s the next film he made it still has the same 90s punk ethos. Highly recommend!!
