Overall I liked the movie, but it didn't surprised me positively as the Witch. The pace of the first half is better than the second, where I felt the things started to get too repetitive.

I am not a big fan of sport movies, but this one got me interested.

Embrace of the Serpent 2015
I am not a big fan of modern black and white movies, but the photography of this movie is so beautiful that justifies the pick. There are so many breathtaking frames that really sets the mood of the film. The focus on contrast and texture reminds me a lot of the work of the Brazilian photographer Sebastião Salgado, specially the book Gêneses, that I recommend checking out if you like this movie.

What a sad and touching movie. There's so much to think about on so many different topics that I'm sure this movie will be in my head for a long time.
One specific scene that I particularly liked, but I didn't read much about on other reviews is the pawn shop scene. In a post war and impoverish society we see the inefficiency of the system in allocating resources. The movie tells a story of a man that can't work because he has his bike stolen and at the same time there's a room with hundreds of unused bikes rusting in a pawn shop.
