  I’m seeing this for the first time since I was a child, and am happy to say it’s better than I expected. I think it’s a better movie overall than Happy Gilmore and Billy Madison, in terms of writing, character, and Sandler’s performance, although Billy Madison is still easily the funniest one for me. Frankly, I think Happy Gilmore is the worst of the three (I still like it), which I know is not the common opinion.
