Effective horror mockumentary that builds a compelling mystery with plenty of unsettling moments. I was particularly taken aback by the performances, especially the psychic Mr. Hori. A good spooky time and one of the best “mockumentary/found footage” horror films I’ve seen in a long while. Even if it doesn’t scare, it crafts a macabre supernatural story that is interesting, and tells it in an immersive way.

It would be crazy if this movie was easily found on YouTube without ads, spelled in all lower case, and was in decent quality and subtitled in English.

Rough night so had to break out my ‘comfy’ film. Such a pleasant and funny romantic comedy, it never fails to cheer me up. William Powell is great with his smooth delivery, and Carole Lombard is infectiously charming. Its wonderfully clever writing makes for a film that is very quotable, and goddammit it’s a sweet treat.

Glad to finally see this, especially to see Andy Griffith play an absolute rat bastard. Another film that has aged perfectly, even going so far as to call Griffiths’ character ‘an influencer’ multiple times. Fantastic third act, and an amazing performance from both Andy Griffith and Patricia Neal.
    I’d recommend it to anybody.

Shockingly visceral for 1930, and told well. It is much more focused and consistent than the 2020 version (hopefully I can rewatch the 70s version at some point). A true anti-war film that does not indulge in cinematic ‘heroics’.
