  I don't know why, but I thought I was going to hate this. I imagined Terminator was a mess of a movie, only considered a classic because Arnold has some quotable lines. 

  This movie is actually great, which was a pleasant surprise. Cameron establishes stakes so effortlessly with minimal dialogue (we can an exposition dump later, but what can you do) and delivers a concise story. 

  Before viewing any sequels, I can confidently say Terminator didn't need any. The conclusion ties up all loose ends. Interested to see how they justify more.

  Yeah. This film is perfect. Probably the best dialogue in any movie I have ever seen. We learn so much about 12 characters in such a short amount of time. Incredible.
