This was so close to a five - i feel like the era that it’s from explains a lot of the themes and writing; but near the end, at the second climax - I feel like it went towards the “comedic” route that just killed the thrill that they’d built up. It wasn’t bad, but it was just such a ridiculous tonal switch that I can’t really get with when there’s almost no time left in the movie.

i am actually shocked by how much I liked this? extremely funny in like an ironic cringy way, and musical aside the story was compelling and interesting, for an almost 3 hour runtime i didn’t find myself bored - ever. Completely forgot how great of an actor Ariana Grande was. Looking forward to part 2!
