The Brutalist 2024
Overlong exercise in regarding epics of yesteryear, lacking the budget and craft required to extend over three and a half hours, let alone have an intermission. A weak script, boring photography, and a distinct lack of architecture, this works as a poor imitation of There Will Be Blood.
Arguably trying to set the audience up for discussion, by failing to properly interrogate and ask the correct questions, the movie seems to lead us to the wrong answers.
