I was worried this was going to be awful and it wasn’t so that’s a win.
I appreciated how many elements this film tried to include but overall it all felt pretty surface level and I felt myself itching for a deeper exploration and the chance to know the supporting characters more. The war scenes were well done and effective but felt disjointed amongst the rest of the film.
With a longer run time to allow more time to breathe this film could’ve been really good.
