    Days after seeing this, I have recommended this movie to at least a dozen different people and would jump at the chance to rewatch it.  I was hooked from the jump: the partner Ice skating performance where she twirls around her partner in a wheelchair to a cover of Carmina Burana’s O Fortuna is unforgettable.  There might be other documentaries that provide more information about the state of disability rights for employment, housing, etc., but this movie excels at highlighting…

    Andre3000 says “one of the greatest things about Sly is he’s letting us peer into something very free”.  I couldn’t agree more.  This movie about the originators of funk, originators of drum machine sounds gave me such a thirst for watching the source material concert footage and interviews.  I could watch their early concert footage over and over again, when the whole band sounds so incredibly tight it’s almost like the recorded version.
