My second or so Tarantino, and it feels like he always has good acting in his movies, but the movies are also a whole lot of nothing.

Princess Mononoke 1997
My second Studio Ghibli, and I was extremely disappointed. Maybe I’m too old, or maybe I’m not seeing the art behind the film, but to me this was extremely boring and rather uninteresting. People stances in the movie were confusing, some points didn’t matter, and most importantly, the movie should’ve been called Prince Ashitaka and not Princess Mononoke. The movie was almost entirely about Ashitaka, and hardly about Mononoke. It’s Studio Ghibli so it’s hard to argue against, but I wouldn’t recommend this movie to anyone.

Suspense. An emotion that couldn’t seem to leave my body. A true thriller, possibly experienced as a horror from different perspectives. Trying to categorize this film myself is a current battle I’m having. I’m certain of it’s thriller aspects, giving me unresting tension and unease. With horror, I was shocked at some points, but was I fearful? A semi-horror, thriller. Nonetheless, a film that kept my interest for most of the entire time, and provided me with constant emotion. The ending was a bit rough, and some scenes ruined by whacky horror techniques. An amazing movie for the season nonetheless. 8.5
