Schindler's List 1993
Watching this the same week as finishing Conclave was sooooo perfect to see how broad Fiennes acting is. This movie is absolutely devastating but so beautiful. The fact that this film is of a true story makes it all the better, everyone should be required to watch this especially considering the state of the US and the world being so reflective to the Holocaust and the ideologies at that time. The Shawshank Redemption 1994
Watched this in my Film analysis class! I’ve seen the film once or twice before but it’s been a while. I like this movie because I love Morgan Freeman, the buildup/storyline is very good, and it’s score is literally magnificent. This movie is such a man movie in my head and irl, usually I can get behind some man movies but this one I just don’t love as much as others do lolz

So I didn’t expect to cry and I also didn’t expect to absolutely adore this movie. The representation is so well done, Mickey’s performance throughout the ENTIRE movie. Was perfect. Tbh she deserves that Oscar with this one. Loved her in scream BUT THIS. THIS IS A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THANG.
