  Absolutely loved this film. Was so enjoyable to watch. I will be watching this again in the near future… without a doubt. I feel like I should say more about this film, and I certainly will, but it was just pure enjoyment. That’s all for now. 

  Very high chance that when I rewatch this it will be bumped up to a 5 star.

  Training Day 2001

  Denzel Washington carries this film… he was insane. He acts with a psychotic blend of trustworthiness and persuasion. Ethan Hawke’s performance was okay, certainly not bad. The difference between the two is that Washington was the only one who could’ve played his role—the same cannot be said for Hawke. 

  If for no other reason, this film scores a 4 based on Washington alone. I would feel bad ranking it any lower with his performance in mind.

  The Verdict 1982

  Surely an undisputed classic. The courtroom drama, the drunken lawyer, the complicated love interest—all under that nostalgic 80’s film grain. What more could you need?

  minutes or so (low-key spoilers from this point on).
