  Though through its gameplay Grand Theft Auto San Andreas may seem entirely player-driven it's still a carefully-coded concert of pixels. The player cannot traverse the digital without clearly pre-determined intervention. Every step animated before it has even been taken. The chaos of the open world is merely a series of textures gliding like shadow puppets across the overlapping axes of play.   Defined solidly by our presence in the here and now and what we drag along from every moment before it. A photo only gives us so much information. A snapshot of time free of the baggage of the past. Yet still we might ponder what lies outside of the frame. What scars sit upon the other cheek. The most we can know about another person might always be limited to what they choose to present.
