Though through its gameplay Grand Theft Auto San Andreas may seem entirely player-driven it's still a carefully-coded concert of pixels. The player cannot traverse the digital without clearly pre-determined intervention. Every step animated before it has even been taken. I don't even really need to share my rating for this film. It will never shift. It's the best action movie ever made. I don't mean it figuratively when I say I'm breathless at the end. It is a conscious drive to draw air. Ethan Hunt is one of my favourite characters ever. Here he's a symbol of faith (maybe drawing a little too closely to christ-like), not merely the final boss that nuclear terrorists must face in their pursuit of martyrdom, but the last bastion of a humanity threatened by suffocating systems of automation and artifical intelligences that sublimate lived experience and feeling.

I really don't see what was apparently so special about this? In what way is this any different from anything the MCU has ever put out?

Oh wow it (barely) looks like an old Universal monster movie, con-fucking-gratulations Marvel, you did the bare minimum!!!!
