Oliver walks into a party with LED lights and rich people. The party is bumping but Oliver is standing alone in a corner with a sad look on his face. He quickly glances at Felix who rips ass leaving a trail of smelly fart. Oliver walks over to the area of explosion and gets down on his knees to take a wiff. LMFAO’s “Party Rock Anthem” begins to blare as he lets the ass smell linger in his sinuses. “Wow…

this movie was made for the Dizzy’s/ Ace’s of the world, not the masses of Rico’s/Carmen’s. with starship troopers, it takes a brain to have your brains sucked out. the performances are one of most slept on aspects of the movie, human cannon fodder characters, inhuman action figure looking dumb asses outfitted with cornball hoorah Oblivian dialouge. doesn’t get enough praise for the intentionality and hilariously executed coming of age narrative imbedded into its overall brash in your face satire— honestly these performances are just as funny at times as the Verhoven signature sketch comedy moments, plus it really helps anchor it all down.

grandma had this one on vhs, childhood classic, whenever I’d visit I’d instantly run to her massive wall of tapes since that’s where the real shit went down, Blair witch, Bride of Chucky, a real midwesterners grab bag of movies, all of which I watched— otherwise my media diet at home was Cecil B DeMilles long ass Ten Commandments which I rewatched at least once a week after elementary…

Snoozefest with absolutely no structural logic whatsoever. Hodgepodge of men sitting down and talking about things in the most inhuman way possible. Even the montages are completely devoid of anything human. What is almost as inhuman as creating and dropping the bomb, are these performances, holy hell. Never was there a of a hint of morality, some have said it’s fitting for the topic; but in general it just felt like a giant waste of time. Music was…
