    Battlefield Baseball

    ★★★★½

Live action cartoon that is 100% committed to its bit and always willing to go above and beyond for the sake of a gag. Genuine, hard belly laughs throughout; literally right up to the final frames.

  • We Kill for Love

    We Kill for Love

    ★★½

Documentary exploring the erotic thriller film genre that was a mainstay of late-night premium cable from the mid-‘80s through the 1990s. Takes the subject matter seriously and has some interesting insights, but overstays its welcome with an ungodly 162 minute runtime.

    Zack Snyder's Justice League

    ★★½

Zach Snyder doesn’t make movies, he makes feature length versions of the 5-second montages that play at the MTV Movie Awards when Charli XCX and Tom Holland or whoever read out the nominees for Best Abs. Those montages look awesome and they can convey mood and tone really really well, but they don’t make for much of a story.

    ★★

An ok movie if you’re a 17-year-old dude who hasn’t seen a lot of movies. Joaquin is decent, but he did a better version of this character just two years ago in “You Were Never Really Here.” Which is also the better movie. If YWNRH is “Don Quixote,” then “Joker” is the “Don Quixote” episode of “Wishbone.”
