If you love dark oppressive gothic period horror then you'll love this, if not you'll probably snigger and smirk your way through it, luckily I'm a fan.
I was brought up on Hammer Dracula and was enthralled by the original Nosferatu so I enjoy the prospective 'brides' wandering towards foggily enshrouded windows or even a Renfield character chomping on the odd pigeon.
It looks the part with tremendous production values and costumes but for me Nossie himself is not terrifying…

The Killer 2023
Enough with the oh so very easy digs at Smiths fans who are all obviously positively teetering on the brink of becoming assassins because Morrisey and Marr conjured up such depressing fare...really ? Stick to your English essays guys.
I love Fincher and this does not disappoint ,not just a beautifully slick assassin misses his shot movie but a self assessing internal monologue movie following the 'cold dead eyed killer' of a man who's not quite the man he thinks he is, 'I am what I am' turns out to be 'I'm not who I thought I was'Translated from by -
The Satan Bug 1965
Not seen this movie for over 40 years and watched it through YouTube (not great quality) but even so it still evoked the out of kilter and other worldliness I remembered. It looks and feels like no movie I've ever seen, for a film made in 1965 it held up remarkably well.
The apocalyptic theme and messages are also ahead of their time ,it remains gripping and well paced.
Above everything it didn't disappoint as so often loved childhood movies can when re-watched in adulthood.Translated from by
