Palm Springs 2020
Really happy to be able to watch another feature by a Herzog comrade this year. Max knocked this one out of the park.
Genuinely touching, hilarious, clever, and surprisingly esoteric. Immediately put me in a better mood. I had so much fun with this. It's teeming with reverence for the time-loop genre while offering its own unique subversions and heartfelt twists. Made me feel inspired to create and be on set again in the best way.
One of my faves of the year so far.
