  Lupita Nyong’o is such a great actress in this film in both the shadow character role and the mother role. It’s so refreshing seeing a black family being portrayed as an actual family in a horror movie. Every scene had an unexpected twist at the end of it that kept me on edge till the very last second. The replicas or the antagonist were so menacing and I loved them. Not to mention the dialogue was so crisp and flawless it hurts. My only gripe is the ending had me so mind fucked I needed more answers but it’s not a bad issue to have.
