This reminds me of St. Catherine's Monastery I visited in Malta. The nuns there had a dark history of locking up and torturing young women under the guise of "moral correction." It was truly horrifying to see the torture cells in person and witness the remnants of such cruelty.
The film vividly portrays the monstrosities that took place in such convents, shedding light on the hidden horrors that were carried out behind closed doors. It not only honors the victims, but also serves as a reminder of the hypocrisy and unholiness of the "venerable" sisters.
