A really powerful movie. As soon as it got to the stop and search scene early in the film, I felt so tense remembering how it was back in Iran in the early '80s. And then from then on more and more devastating nature of unfair events made me quite upset. Brilliant impact of getting invested in the family in the quite lengthy first part of the movie really paid of, as you could feel the pain and frustration Eunice was going through. Definitely a film to remember.

The Glass Agency 1998
A very controversial but brave movie and definitely one of the most memorable movies I've ever seen. I thoroughly enjoyed watching it again after 20 years of first viewing.

A Taxi Driver 2017
Watched it without reading at all about the story, so had no idea what was the film going to be about. I ended up sobbing during the dramatic scenes of pure brutality. I knew very little about the Gwangju uprising, but it all looked so similar to what's happening in Iran right now. Brilliant acting and despite the additional maybe unnecessary action scenes, the raw heroic nature of people made it a glorious tribute to them all.
