  really unsure how i felt about this one. Joaquin Phoenix showing up with a funny accent kept me invested, and the score choice with late 90s synths, but overall mild performance from Cage. 

  i will say without giving away any spoilers the record scratch scene at the end had me talking out loud. So tense… v well done.

  Perfect teen movie. 90 mins, only mildly self aware, the donnas dressed up as a band called the elctroCUTES. I think I’d only ever seen this movie on cable, edited and with commercial breaks but def holds up. Plus Melissa Joan Hart

  I gave it a 3 but if you’re just looking for a distraction it’s a solid 4. Honestly glad I saw it at the fancy Dolby where the few actual scary scenes felt more pronounced thanks to a solid score, that honestly had me more on edge than any of the Dutch angles or jump scares (but those were fun too especially considering that type of excitement isn’t as heightened in a normal whodunnit).
