  It’s very good at the complete annihilation of the senses, bowling us over with emotional intensity and dazzling visuals moving at breakneck speed. The flipside of that is anything meaningful the movie tries to get at feels entirely fleeting.

  Really impressive. Such a tight, contained visual style that creates a subtly campy but serious atmosphere. I saw this in the theater when it came out and liked it but I think it hits a little harder with the Obama era firmly in the rear view. And of course 20 yr old me couldn’t fully comprehend it all.

  Felt embarrassed for everyone involved in this. Cohen being unable to control himself and putting “now vote” at the end is the perfect summation of the how the liberal mind has completely devolved since 2016. Everything is a competition to prove how much you don’t like Trump. Sad.

  The ultimate conservative dad's fantasy. This movie came at the perfect time for those dads too - the invasion of Iraq was widely believed to be a failure if not an outright mistake (but never a crime! No, never that) by liberals and even some conservatives. The shot of giddy adrenaline from America's grotesque show of force post 9/11 was seriously starting to wane.
