  One of those movies where I am 100% certain aspects went over my head (being cis and not a huge comic book/snl fan) but like. holy shit.

  I did not expect it to feel so much like a biography as it did. but it was genuinely so tender and vulnerable.

  Also, truly hysterical.

  To me, the dialogue swings wildly between goofy (pos) ("Dodge this") and goofy (neg) ("Kansas is going bye-bye") but the sheer joy that everyone appears to be experiencing from their fuckass delivery makes all of it delightful.

  the director of this movie has never once heard of the concept of momentum, speaking either physically or narratively.

  at the same time, in an alternate universe where they leaned into the campness, this was actually a great parody of the genre.
