  Craft: I'm not an expert here, but I'm glad that there were some really clear color/lighting choices that helped the reader track with the inertia of the piece. Likewise, choices between inward and outward zoom and jump cuts helped the movie flow, as long as the viewer was willing to wait out not knowing what was going on 100% of the time. Nolan keeps the viewer hooked regardless because, like the viewers, the Protagonist also has little idea…

  A Dim Valley definitely lives up to the Art Nouveau vibe its poster suggests. There's a gentleness to this movie that is unnerving at first, but the viewer is allowed to be part of this film, allowed to see and be seen.
