Dust in the Wind 1986
I'm very fond of movies where you get to be the quiet friend. You're always there. You feel as they feel and see even where they don't. Nothing really happens asides from life passing by. You're just there, with them. Thus, you become acquainted with their family, friends, their hopes and faults. This is one of those movies and does it very, very well.
