  opening night!!!

  i’m not exaggerating when i say this will be one of my top films of all time ALL TIME. it is everything that i could’ve hoped for in Part Two, and i was pleasantly surprised at Austin Butler’s Feyd-Rautha. Hans Zimmer of course killed it once again bringing back themes from Part One for Chani, Lisan al Gaib, and House Atreides (one of Zimmer’s best compositions in my opinion). 

  Villeneuve doesn’t miss anything: setting, effects, costumes, sounds. nothing over done, nothing missed, and nothing out of place. Part Two better sweep every technical category next year, or i will be rioting.

  i think the reason people have an issue with this film is because they miss the point of elio and oliver’s relationship: a time that wouldn’t allow them to be together and the toxicity created because of oliver. so no, they were not meant to be together.

  this is one of the most visually stunning films i have ever seen — the color and setting shots are gorgeous. the soundtrack was also perfectly chosen.
