Apart from Robert Pattinson’s stunning face card and acting, I really liked this film. It captures elements from many of Bong Joon-ho’s films, like eating the rich (Parasite), the creepers (The Host), and Ylfa’s obsession with making sauce from the creepers reminded me of the movie Okja. Although Mickey 17 tackles thought provoking themes like capitalism, politics, and colonialism I personally felt that it was bland in certain parts unlike the trailer and could have been more exciting and impactful.
