NB: It's funny how I've consumed so much modern Gundam content (Mercury, Seed, Endless Waltz etc) and this is the first time I actually know the base Gundam themes and story. I know who Char is now!
Man I put off watching this because in my head it was gonna have that slightly too on-the-nose Shane Black dialogue and Willis getting a bit to smarmy.
I was a fucking idiot, this rules, and it has that telltale "Oh we made this too misanthropic and sleazy to be a real mainstream hit" but its full of great stunts, squibs and actually pretty fun banter between Willis and Wayans.
