I definitely saw at least most of this on cable TV back when this was new-ish, and I surprisingly remembered almost all of it. Say what you will, this movie sticks with you.

Look, you can't ignore the "well, it was a different time" elephant in the room here (even Woody Allen would be like, "jeez, I wouldn't have written her as thirteen"). Between this, The Professional, Closer and any others I may be forgetting, including Moby, I think we…

Okay, I pushed my luck too far with these big studio comedies I'd passed on the first time. This movie starts out like a bad sitcom: Ferrell and Poehler are hovering parents who can't cope with their daughter going to college. Aw man, what a disappointing bummer! Rather than the revealing behind-the-scenes expose into the unreleased film we were all hoping for, this is all filler made by people with zero inside access or new information. 80% of this film is dueling narrators reading from old online articles (one is all terrible line readings, and the other is better and speaks more naturally, but sounds like he was recorded over the phone) while clips of repeating game footage loop on CRT…
