  Probably the best film it could’ve been (which is still about 8/10). Definitely, even when accounting for the tone shift, less funny than the second film, but it hits the major emotional moments well. Pacing felt off at near the start, but once it gets going I think it’s pretty alright. Lastly I am very impressed by how they managed to integrate Tom and Maddie into major roles without making them feel intrusive.

  Can’t believe this is considered one of the worst animated films of all time but a lot of people. It’s no masterpiece but it’s honestly pretty sweet.

  It would be a trial to find characters more endearing than those present in World Masterpiece Theater's animated adaptation of Anne of Green Gables. The team behind this, notably lead by Isao Takahata, were able to bring such beauty to Lucy Maud Montgomery's Canadian classic. A strikingly powerful coming of age masterpiece.
