Bringing Up Baby 1938
I loved the first hour of this film. The banter between Cary Grant and Katharine Hepburn had me rolling, but then the movie starts losing steam when the focus widens from their repartee to the misadventures of the wider cast.

I enjoyed the individual performances of the cast, and Eggers' cinematography was captivating as always, but the whole production felt hollow. The plot unceasingly grinds forward without any room for character development. The characters never engage with each other except to advance the story.
