From the moment Mark Ruffalo opens his mouth it’s obvious what direction this movie will go. While it’s clear from the get-go, there is a beauty in that. Bong Joon-Ho attacks the issue from the very beginning. While repetitive at times, it tells the story that Joon-Ho wants. Mickey’s dream is what sticks with me, an arduous reminder that people yearn for a dictatorial figure in their lives. Could’ve shaved 15-20 minutes, definitely a funny, good watch. Robert Pattinson did really well. would’ve loved to see him bang himself (sequel idea- Mickey 34?)

The Hurt Locker 2008
Cool war movie. Showcases the total chaos of the Middle East. Honestly don’t think it has a lot of depth to it. Maybe the idea of war as a drug isn’t portrayed often but that doesn’t make it a creative leap even if Andy strohman thinks other wise.

A really good thought provoking movie. Dialogue was forced at times and inner conflict rotated between complex and interesting to overly dramatic. Really enjoyed the ending. There is no simple solution to our problems and the grief we face. We must merely get on with things and our life. Really does a good job of modernizing humanity’s belief about the Holocaust.

Movies are so dope man. I just watched a monkey do cocaine for two hours. Movie could shave 20-30 minutes easily. Felt like main point of movie was battle with depression but the solution to his depression was just kinda trivial and solved quickly. Music was meh tbh. 1/2 British biopic 1/2 planet of the apes= an entertaining movie
