Stupid but fun is the best way to describe this one. Don't expect much from the slasher/who dunnit aspect, but it combines well with the rom com silliness to make for a very entertaining ride, despite many jokes feeling very similar to jokes I've seen in better movies (The Nice Guys, and many episodes of Community come to mind). But big props to that one speech where like 8 movie references are dropped with no pauses in between. The central concept and the performances are all great.

It's so funny that watching this as a kid the insane tonal shifts didn't even register to me. Rewatching it now I finally understood what people meant by that.
