I think this is getting worse reviews than it deserves because people only want seriousness from Bong despite comedy being present throughout his other works. I don't think Mickey 17 is less intellectual than Parasite in any way but the tone is very different and I think people often struggle to differentiate tone and meaningfulness. At the same time, I hope his next film is a little less silly.
Excellent performances all around, especially from Toni Collette who is a genius.

LEGO House - Home of the Brick 2018
While I love Lego, this feature length ad only furthers the idea that Lego can be used by anyone, but it's really for men and boys. Lego has historically had a bit problem with this (minifigs etc.) and while there are certainly women in the film with lines, they only appear in the last 15 minutes and are overshadowed by men.

Godzilla Minus One 2023
Godzilla's design in this is great, and the CGI is pretty good. I love the part they stop motion animated! The best part is the music though, which they didn't write.
The politics are pretty stale - you're not brave enough if you're a man who can't kill people. People are going to keep dying around you until you decide you can kill and redeem yourself!
