High School 1968
Odd back to back double feature with Uncle Boonmee, but not necessarily an awful one. Both critically acclaimed, as slow as the orbit of the planets, and meant to transport and immerse you to a different world. Like the Thai movie, there are some scenes of real brilliance here, but that’s all in between a mass of measuredness. I absolutely get why people love it, but I just didn’t connect with it.
