This was a fun ride that I couldn’t help but feel like it just doesn’t work as well in 2025 than it did in 1979. The world that The Warriors captures is awesome and feels like a beat-em up video game with the different gangs that attempt to stop the Warriors from returning to Coney Island. I just found it a bit boring with some repetitive beats and no characters that really won me over. The influence on John Wick was very cool to see.

Soderbergh is just such a master of accomplishing exactly what he sets out to do and cutting out any excess. A spy/drama/romance/thriller that hits all of those beats in 90 minutes? Beautiful. Extremely well acted by a fantastic cast and the spy vibes were perfect. Marisa Abela… also perfect.

Turned out that I never should’ve doubted Bong because Okja was really great. The first half is truly masterful between the intimate moments with Mija and Okja and then culminating in the all-timer chase scene. My biggest issue with the movie was that the second half…
