American Fiction 2023
Each scene was so well written, had such depth, and communicated its message/theme so clearly. But that doesn’t give you permission to not resolve the plot. This was so close to being a great movie, but after breaking the 4th wall they confirmed that they forgot to write the third act. It’s not that I need a complicated ending. I just needed an ending, any ending. This would have been an easy 4+ if the plot lines of Coraline, the mom, and the consequences of the book had been resolved.
