    Lots of good scenes and Faye Dunaway is way over the top as Joan Crawford (sort of like Al Pacino in Scarface) but the film amounts to very little otherwise.

    Sort of like Spielberg’s version of the Wonder Years. Engaging, with good performances, but no Cinema Paradiso. It’s semi-autobiographical. Good cameo by David Lynch as filmmaker John Ford. Michelle Williams is great as the mother, but I think Cate Blanchett was better in Tar.

    LSD (lysergic acid dythalimide) played a prominent role in establishing the tone of Ken Russell's 1971 dark comic drama "The Devils," an excessive indictment of political corruption in Loudon, France.     This Bollywood musical remake of the cult thriller I Saw The Devil is a guilty pleasure for me. It’s slicker, much bigger budget and it’s populated with pretty actors.. And the Hindi score/soundtrack is exquisite.
