  Me (thinking): This is clearly a contemporary, multi-layered film that rings very true to life, and one I’ll have to think about for a while, with its class issues and psychological portraiture

  Even worse than I expected. This movie has several nonsensical decisions that seem to serve nothing in the plot. And it changes genres too often, like it can’t decide what it’s going to be. The only good scene is Kurt Russell singing (doing his own vocals) in the magical Christmas jail cell song.
