If you can handle some over-the-top cartoonish violence, and a couple plot points properly stretching your wilfull suspension, this was a really charming and fun movie that took time to let us care about its characters and build a grounded world for them to begin in.

The logline of this movie is not the movie I saw.
I had no idea he was an archeologist.
I had no idea he was looking for a doorway to anything.
Intellectually, I thought it was about: a man broken by grief loots graves. That's it.Apparently the movie didn't get any of its own story across in an understandable way.
I feel like there were ideas here, but none of it fit together to create an emotionally compelling tapestry of these human beings.
