"If that's what you really want and you can't find a good husband, don't blame me!"

There is a strong silent film quality to this film, and I loved every minute of it. It's all very well and patiently shot, with occasional stylized dialog. It has a pinch of surrealism and is peppered with moments of subdued, nearly slapstick comedy. The middle is punctuated by an explosive sexploitation sequence that highlights the relative restraint of the rest of the film. Basically, it's awesome, and beautiful, and I love this melancholic jaunt through the European countryside / meandering about the ruins of an old chateau... with vampires.
