I read Baku as a yokai like figure. Which is corroborated in the movie when Haruyo mentioned how his name is likened to an actual yokai called Baku eater of nightmares. He is this whimsical being watching over Asako but coming and going as he pleases. He is the personification of what Asako *thinks* is the perfect boyfriend. Like she said she realized just how immature she was, she had a false picture of what love is. And so at the first chance to return to what she thought was the image of true love she grabbed it.

The Parent Trap 1998
Its hollywood at its best, a good fun time with a clever funny concept.
Getting a weird mandela affect, I swear there was a scene where twins pulled another switcheroo and annie gives dad a final pep talk

The Hitman's Bodyguard 2017
I like to think that every movie no matter how bad has at least some inherent value, but man is this movie total garbage.

Oasis of Now 2023
A slow burn, snail pace drama that actively keeps the audience guessing and out of the loop. Its structured in a way that makes it not for everyone. But dear god the vibes just really do it for me. It has that quietly devastating feel to it
