this film perfectly depicts the brutal, ceaselessly repeating cycle that is to love someone who’s out of control and unable change, and it does so with enough charisma and moments of levity to keep you watching through the tears
important notes-
-the vibes hit immediately with the flashlight POVs, then maintain as the opening credits’ uber-80s synths fade to the sound of waves
-the end feels so and too abrupt, but it’s a gladly paid price of the picture’s overall breakneck pace and concision
-at first i thought it was it dumb how our guy, Graham, jumps through the window just to get sliced and diced, but the more i think on it, the more i appreciate the pure impulsivity
