  Loved this film.   Funny and dark, really paints a picture of 20’s hollywood.   Chazelle is a master at his craft as director.  Margot Robbie was extraordinary.

  For the type of film it is, this is a classic.   Low budget horror flick of a twisted family that butcher total strangers to feed their hunger for inflicting death.  Tobe Hopper’s directing of one of the first films in this horror genre was a pioneer to later film franchises like Halloween and A Nightmare on Elm Street And was before it’s time in 1974.  Have not seen the remakes but when I first saw this film at age 11, it scared the fuck out of me and still holds pretty well 46 years later.

  Beautiful film about forbidden love.   Bravo and breakout performances by Winslet and Ronan.   Francis Lee’s script was touching and gorgeously shot.   Pace was sometimes slow but the story like held my attention.   The sex scenes were very erotic and really beautifully done.
