    Love this movie.
I kind of hate when they're sitting around going "they would never elect a US president like David Duke... WWIINNKK"
But beyond that it's funny, it's suspenseful, it masterfully shows the juxtaposition between "black power" and "white power" movements.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2

The number of "we have to stop the evil because they are evil and we are good" speeches is off the charts.
I liked it less than Catching Fire, Way less than the Hunger games, and more than Mockingjay Pt 1 but only because it had like a real narrative arc and was genuinely spooky at times.
That being SAID. I would still absaloutly recommend the books AND the movies in this series to a 12-15 year old and I would watch it again with someone of that demographic but I think I'm good until then.

I love Sofia Coppolas vision of soft privileged femininity and how she conveys the different kind of "prisons" her subjects end up in.
    It's beautiful, it's delicate, it's resilient.

Rewatching the series as a person who loved the books as a young teenager.
If memory serves, this movie (and the 2 movkingjays) are maybe more faithful to the books than thr first one but at the cost of making just visual copies without really utilizing the different medium. Like I remember reading Catching Fire and being on the edge of my seat and being so enthralled reading the last line of the book that at 3am I just picked up the next one and had to keep going. The movie ended like exactly the same but in a movie storytelling format it's weak and lame.
