  Animation style all over the shop, myth at the heart of the narrative overcooked but coming out raw, and characters really forgetful. Road To El Dorado is the superior version of the hidden world adventure

  Feel like I wasn’t prepared for what this was and so sat quite stunned in many moments, confused yet entertained. Definitely want to rewatch it again at some point, preferably after getting more of a sense of the director’s work. 

  Also, assumed from what I’d very loosely read and seen on it, it would be a sweet matinee kind of movie but BAM, horniest food sex scene just spliced in there

  Just lovely. I play his scores so regularly, and they hold such precious memories, I was close to a blubbering wreck in moments of this.

  Not only did I tear up hearing some of those exquisite scores, but just the signs of friendship and adoration between him and Spielberg were so beautiful to see. 

  What an absolute legend, and icon of cinema.
