The Beautiful Person 2008
It starts off a bit slow, but then it evolves into such a beautiful story about a problematic teacher becoming intertwined and love lost with the most transfixing teenage girl. I want to be Junie. All girls want to be her.
A takeaway: Figure out your story before becoming entangled in someone else’s; you never know how much you might hurt or shape them.

The cinematography was stunning, and I’m all about period pieces on womanhood; I loved that there were next to no men in it. The queerness, of course, makes this film even better ! Such a great film, and it’s perfect for watching while painting too. It makes me want to escape to the countryside and live a cottagecore lifestyle, to be honest :)))
