  overall surprisingly really liked this film. enjoyed that the movie was a return to form while also exploring new ideas.

  the cinematography and overall grading of the film was beautiful and the practical effects of the xenomorphs and facehuggers were amazing, and i loved learning that Álvarez advocated for practical effects not only for quality reasons but also for the cast to have something tangible to viscerally react to.
